Importance of School Library

A school library is a library within the school premises for use by the students and the teachers. Students can gain knowledge by reading school library books. These books are costly and the students get the opportunity to read such rich treasures of wisdom. In this way, they can prepare themselves for examination. They can enhance their knowledge by going through the books of knowledge. There are sets of books like the works of Rabindranath Tagore, collected works of Bankimchandra, Vivekananda, Saratchandra, etc. All these books build the foundation of a strong character in a student. However, it is needless to say that a school library can provide the students morality, punctuality and disciplined.

    

A Memorable Day of My Life 

Human life is overflowing with events and moments. Among these infinite incidents, some of them are pleasant, some aren’t, and we remember those for long. For me, the most memorable event has to be my first day at my school. It was my new school. I came here after finishing my primary education. I joined the 5^th graders and made many new friends. My class teacher, Mrs Pramanik, was very polite yet charismatic when she taught us.
After my lessons, some of my friends and I went to the school canteen and had our lunch in together. My first day at school was full of happy feelings. Even though this might seem like any other school day, it had a lasting impression on me. The experience was soothing and calming. That day was well spent and memorable.

                        My Pet

All children, and even grown ups, are fond of keeping pets. Some have fishes,  cats, rabbits and parrots at their pets. I have a dog for a pet.The name of my pet dog is Tarzan. He is a very ferocious dog. He is dark brown in colour and barks very loudly at all strangers. Even the postman and other delivery men are scared of coming inside our house. He loves to eat bread, meat and drink milk. It accompanies me for my walks and enjoys barking at other dogs. I always put Tarzan on a leash so that the passerby’s do not get scared. I bathe it daily with dog soap and also comb its hair- coat. Tarzan is a clean dog and never spoils the house.

                     MySelf 

I am Miraz Islam, a student who’s studying in Kolsur High School (H.S), a prestigious school in our city. It’s a city where I grew up. I live in a small village named Atghara with my family. Almost everyone is kind at least one sport. The one competition that I am good at is football. In my school, almost everyone had an obsession with the sport, and so did I. Every game period, my teacher would make us play football, along with other games. Over the years, the way I played football improved, and while learning the game, I discovered other lessons as well. One of the lessons I’ve learned is how to play in a team. When you play in a group, you depend on each other for winning. I have always been energetic and lively. While many people feel awkward and weird, making me friends, I have no problems with making new friends. I can talk to everyone quickly and know them.

      Festivals of Bengal" 

The proverb ' Baro mase tero parban ' proves that Bengales are found of festivals. Bengali year begins with 'Navabarsha' on 25 th Baisak we observe Rabindra Jayanti. The independence day, the republic day, the birth days of Gandhiji, Nataji are also observed as national festivals. In autumn we observe our greatest festival Durga Puja. It is an occasion of putting on new dresses, joy and merriment. Then comes Laxmi puja .

It is held in every home for wealth. Next we get kali puja and Dewali. Students worship Saraswati Puja . We also observe Rathyatra , Holi, Nabanna, Vatridwitiya, Rakhi purnima etc. The Muslims observe the Id Maharam, etc. The Christians observe X-Mas, Good Friday etc. On such occasions people mix together with the sprit of brother hood. Thus festivals destroy separation , give us joy and pleases our mind above all.

The Usefulness of Physical Exercise

A certain critic remarks, "All work and no play makes jack a dull boy". So, we should practice physical exercise daily. It is a vital means of making our physical fit and fine. It's just for good health. We all know the wise statement that, " Health is wealth". Health generally means a sound state of mind and body owning Joy of living. It's key to happiness. But good health is not achieved without regular exercise. Through practicing exercise our body gets more active than before. It is beneficial for gaining concentration and self-energy. If the body is a temple, the exercises are worship we need to perform. For the very beginning, everyone should wake up early in the morning and start walking. There is no bad effect or any negative side. So from today, we all need to be aware of our body and health, let’s start the exercise.
