Sarojini Naidu (1879-1949) was an Indian poet and politician.
সরোজিনী নাইডু (1879-1949) একজন ভারতীয় কবি এবং রাজনীতিবিদ ছিলেন।।
She was even called the "Nightingale of India."
= তাকে এমনকি "ভারতের নাইটিঙ্গেল" বলা হত।
She was also a noted feminist who campaigned for women's emancipation.
=. তিনি একজন প্রখ্যাত নারীবাদীও ছিলেন যিনি নারীমুক্তির জন্য প্রচার চালিয়েছিলেন।
Alongside tireless political work, Naidu was a prolific and beloved poet. -অক্লান্ত রাজনৈতিক কাজের পাশাপাশি, নাইডু ছিলেন একজন সফল ও প্রিয় কবি।
Over the course of her career, she produced five volumes of poetry; this poem appeared in her second book, The Bird of Time (1912).
তার কর্মজীবনে, তিনি কবিতার পাঁচটি খণ্ড তৈরি করেছেন; এই কবিতাটি তার দ্বিতীয় বই, The Bird of Time (1912) এ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।
About the Poem:
i) 'The Bangle Sellers' is a well-written lyric poem of 24 lines
ii) divided into 4 stanzas of six lines.
iii) Each stanza consists of three rhyming couplets, following a simple rhyme scheme of 'AABBCC.'
iv) Theme: pictures the stages of Indian women comparing it to different colors of bangles sold by the bangle sellers.

সরোজিনী নাইডুর 'দ্য বেঙ্গল সেলার্স' কবিতাটি চুড়ি এবং চুড়ি তাদের ঘিরে আবর্তিত বিক্রেতাদের হয়েছে। এটি একজন মহিলার জীবনের পর্যায়গুলি বর্ণনা করে।
মেলায় যে সকল চুড়ি বিক্রেতারা চুড়ি বিক্রি করছেন তাদের একজন কবিতার বক্তা।

Some are meet for a maiden's wrist,

Silver and blue as the mountain mist,
পর্বতএর কুয়াশার মতোই রূপালী এবং নীল,
Some are flushed like the buds that dream
আবার কিছু রয়েছে কুঁড়ির মতো রাঙা/রক্তিম যা স্বপ্ন দেখে
On the tranquil10 brow" of a woodland stream,
শৈলপার্শ্বের বনভূমির এক শান্ত স্রোত ধারার কাছে
Some are aglow with the bloom that cleaves
কিছু হয় সবুজ মুকুলের মতো উজ্জ্বল যা বিদীর্ণ করে আসে
To the limpid glory of new born leaves
সদ্য গজানো পাতার মতো অনাবিল মহিমায়।
Some are like fields of sunlit corn,
কিছু আছে রৌদ্রস্নাত ভুট্টা ক্ষেতের মতো হলুদ,
Meet for a bride on her bridal morn,
এক কনের বিবাহের সকালের দিনের জন্যই তৈরি
Some, like the flame of her marriage fire,
কিছুটা তার বিবাহের-হোমাগ্নির শিখার মতই
Or, rich with the hue of her heart's desire,
বা তার অন্তরের অভিলাষের মতই রাঙা
Tinkling, luminous, tender, and clear,
ঝঙ্কারময় (টুংটাং করা), উজ্জ্বল, সূক্ষ আর স্বচ্ছ,
Like her bridal laughter and bridal tear.
তার লাজুক হাসি আর বিরহের কান্নার মতো
Some are purple and gold flecked grey
কিছু আছে বেগুনি, ধূসর ছিটে যুক্ত সোনালি রঙের
For she who has journeyed through life midway,
তার জন্য যে জীবনের মাঝপথ অতিক্রম করে এসেছে।
Whose hands have cherished, whose love has blest,
যার হাতদুটি লালন-পালন করেছে সন্তানদের, যার ভালোবাসা এনেছে আর্শীবাদ,
And cradled fair sons on her faithful breast,
আর তার নিরাপদ বক্ষে তার সুন্দর সন্তানদের/বাছাদের দোলদিয়েছে।
And serves her household in fruitful pride,
আর তার গৃহকর্ম সফল গর্বে পালনকরে,
And worships the gods at her husband's side.
আর তার স্বামীর মঙ্গল কামনায় দেবতাদের পূজা করে।
